May '24 updates: Updated guides and FAQs

This Changelog post details the updates made to the Newline Platform in May, 2024.

What we improved

  • Released a new Virtual Reference Numbers (VRNs) guide to help Clients understand the relationship between VRNs and Accounts (both Synthetic and Custodial).
  • Released a new Book Transfers guide to detail out our new internal payment rail for Customer cash management.
  • Updated our Error Detail and Resolution guide to provide more insight to Clients about how to triage errors when they occur.
  • Created a centralized FAQs guide to provide Clients a one-stop-shop for quick Q&A review.

What we've fixed

  • We've updated our ACH guide to be more explicit about best practices for ACH entry submissions, updated sameday window timings, and how Newline handles processing either sameday or standard entries.

Why it matters

  • Products are only as good as their documentation, and it's our mission to make sure that Clients and Customers walk away from our documentation with a strong understanding of our products and excited to build financial experiences.
