October '25 Updates

This Changelog post details the updates made to the Newline Platform in October, 2025.

What We Improved

Newline API

  • Synthetic Account Query Enhancements We’ve added a new query parameter to the GET /synthetic_accounts endpoint, allowing developers to filter results by the synthetic account name. This improvement makes it easier to manage large sets of accounts and quickly locate specific records.
  • Transfers Index Performance Optimization The GET /transfers index endpoint has been optimized to deliver significantly faster response times. Average latency has been reduced from 13 seconds, and extreme cases (previously up to 90 seconds) have been mitigated. These changes improve overall API performance and responsiveness for high-volume transfer queries.

What We Fixed

Newline API

  • DELETE /synthetic_accounts Logic Update We’ve improved the archive process for synthetic accounts to ensure accurate validation of liability and master accounts during deletion. Additional safeguards have been added to prevent unnecessary error alerts for user-driven issues, making the operation more reliable and user-friendly.
  • Combined Transfers Account Number Privacy To strengthen data security, we’ve removed account_number from responses for the GET /combined_transfers and GET /combined_transfers/uid endpoints. API documentation has been updated to reflect this change, ensuring sensitive information is never exposed.
