Synthetic Account Categories specify the properties and available transfer paths of the Synthetic Account. These categories also determine whether a Synthetic represents a Customer's assets or a Counterparty's external account.

general | This Synthetic Account Type will be used to open Synthetic Accounts that will only contain a USD asset type. |
wire_external | This Synthetic Account Type will be used to create an external Synthetic Account that can be used only as the destination account for Wire payments. |
ach_external | This Synthetic Account Type will be used to create an external Synthetic Account that can be used only as the destination account for ACH credit push or debit pull payments. |
instant_payments_external | This Synthetic Account Type will be used to create an external Synthetic Account that can be used only as the destination account for Instant Payment credits. |
