1. What is EDAS?
EDAS (Embedded Deposit Account Solution) is a bank-owned custodial deposit account product that enables enterprise fintechs and SaaS platforms to integrate compliant and scalable deposit account functionality into their applications.

2. What types of accounts does EDAS support?
EDAS supports two types of deposit accounts:
- Custodial Accounts: Pooled deposit accounts held by the bank to manage funds on behalf of end users.
- Business DDAs: Traditional demand deposit accounts issued directly to the platform or business entity.

3. What payment services are integrated with EDAS?
EDAS supports ACH, Wire, Real-Time Payments (RTP), Book Transfers, and Checks.

4. What are Virtual Reference Numbers (VRNs)?
VRNs are unique identifiers used to tag and route externally originated payments to the correct end-user sub-ledger. They are used for receiving payments only and do not represent real bank accounts or hold balances.

5. How does EDAS handle payments originated from an external bank account?
Payments from external banks are tagged with a VRN to ensure accurate routing to the correct end-user sub-ledger.

6. What integration methods are available for EDAS onboarding?
Two methods are available:
- Managed File Transfer (MFT): Secure file exchange for batch payments and reconciliation.
- API: Real-time access for payment initiation and reporting.

7. What data files are required for EDAS?
Required files include:

8. What authentication method does EDAS use?
EDAS uses token-based authentication via API credentials (Program UID and HMAC Key). Tokens are obtained using POST /auth.

9. Which payment rails does EDAS support?

12. What is Bring Your Own Ledger (BYOL) in EDAS?
BYOL allows clients to maintain their own internal system of record while leveraging EDAS for compliant, bank-backed deposit account infrastructure.

13. What are the supported ACH transaction types?
ACH supports both credit and debit transactions, including Standard and Same-Day processing. International ACH is currently unsupported.

14. What are the supported Wire transfer capabilities?
Wire transfers support secure, high-priority USD payments via Federal Reserve or CHIPS networks. Domestic wires only; international wires are currently unsupported.

15. What is required for Account Reconciliation?
Clients must provide reconciliation files daily via sFTP in the specified format. Reconciliation occurs at least one day post-activity.
